Research

Knowledge Circle Foundation facilities research studies on crucial political security, and socio-economic issues affecting the process of democratization in transitional societies of Southeast Asia. We are dedicated to narrowing the gap between knowledge and policy by facilitating an interactive medium for debating policy options, guided by the following principles:

• Policy-oriented: We recognizes that is research agenda must be linked with the needs of society;

• Problem-solving: We plan research priorities in terms of urgency and timeliness of the transitional problems in the title process of democratization. The task is to identify, anticipate and analyze problems, and offer policy options;

• People-first: We are committed to fulfilling  the needs of grassroots organizations and democratic movements, designing specific projects and crafting policy advocacy messages;

• Sustainability: We are dedicated to creating opportunities for democratic leaders to participate in policy research and strategic planning activities, ensuring that such participation will sustain policy implementation.
